As we already know, Samoa Joe made his debut last night at the NXT Takeover: Unstoppable. During the closing moments of the show, Joe showed up and stared down Kevin Owens after he retained his NXT title.
It was also noted that Joe was present backstage only a minute or two before he came out. He was kept hidden out back in the bus until he made his debut and so nobody knew about his presence there.
Regarding his debut, Samoa Joe posted the following on Twitter-
Apparently, Joe will work dates with NXT and also work independently, similar to the deals with Brian Kendrick and Rhyno. In a related report, WWE is already selling the shirt Joe wore at Takeover. The fact that WWE is selling official merchandise with Joe’s name on it suggests that he’ll be keeping his name.
