The star of Murphy in WWE burned brightly, yet so quickly. His work, whether on NXT, 205 Live, or the main roster, both on his own and with Seth Rollins, was consistently enjoyable.

You need only look at his work with Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, and Aleister Black for evidence of his talent.

It seemed that although the battle was an uphill one, Murphy was destined to break out as a legitimate star in WWE, thrust into major storylines as both the love interest of Aalyah Mysterio and the disciple of Seth Rollins.

Whenever Murphy appeared to have some momentum, he was derailed by inconsistent booking. Now, outside WWE, Murphy operates as Buddy Matthews.

If we ever saw Seth Rollins outside WWE, revisiting his feud with Murphy would be a must. The story is already laid out and the narrative set. Rollins would be the last tie Murphy needs to sever from WWE.

Given the time and freedom, these two could tell a compelling story. A clash between the two former allies would elevate everyone involved, reinforcing the star that is Rollins and ascending the underrated Matthews.

#1 Seth Rollins & Jon Moxley vs. The Young Bucks

Not to take away from his immense talent, but Seth Rollins wouldn't have reached the heights he has reached if it weren't for his run with The Shield.

The Shield was an unstoppable trio of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) that tore through the entire roster before imploding at their peak when Rollins aligned with The Authority.

The implosion saw one of the greatest rivalries of modern wrestling as Moxley and Rollins battled for months on end.

Seth Rollins took the spoils of their rivalry, winning Money in the Bank and going on to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 31. Meanwhile, Moxley won the Intercontinental Championship and defended the title on the undercard.

Seth Rollins and Moxley renewed their rivalry, with Moxley cashing in his own Money in the Bank contract on Rollins to win his first WWE Championship. But it was the reunion of The Shield that fans clamored for.

Their eventual reunion saw Rollins and Moxley become tag team partners. They tackled The New Day, The Good Brothers, The Bar, and The Hardy Boyz while dominating the RAW tag division.

They broke up yet again, with Moxley turning on Rollins for his final run with WWE. Before Moxley left, they shared one final match alongside Roman Reigns.

Moxley has since dominated AEW, NJPW, and GCW. Seth Rollins has continued to be a pillar of the main event scene in WWE. If they ever reunite, there's only one team they must face to prove their worth as the best tag team.

While The Shield did indeed dominate WWE, The Young Bucks of AEW have taken their domination all over the world. There aren't many top tag teams left that The Young Bucks haven't defeated, but the Moxley and Rollins would perhaps be their greatest test.

The Bucks have become the gold standard of tag team wrestling. Should Rollins and Moxley find themselves in a position where they can reunite for one last match, that match has to be against The Young Bucks.
