#4 Seth Rollins vs Bret Hart
While not an outgoing personality like Seth Rollins, Bret Hart built his legacy on a foundation of technical brilliance and narrative pacing in the ring. He rose to acclaim during a time when exuberant goliaths like Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage dominated the main event scene.
Bret Hart was a talent who could wrestle the entire roster on a single night and still be able to craft a unique story with everyone he stood against.
Seth Rollins appears to have the Bret Hart drive; The Architect has the passion for the business and works tirelessly in every single angle he's involved in.
Seth Rollins and The Hitman share a brilliant ability to spin narrative webs within the confines of the feuds they participate in. No matter which opponents they are in the ring with, they always make use of their move sets to make sure no two collisions feel the same.
The closest similarity between Seth Rollins and Bret Hart is their fundamental understanding of what wrestling should be, whether it be in the ring or on the mic. Had these two been in the same generation, they would have produced a golden feud.
#3 Seth Rollins vs Randy Savage
Randy Savage was unique for his time. He had infinite charisma which would cast him into the spotlight even in a Hogan-dominated era.
In contrast to the powerhouses like Hogan and Warrior, who had limited in-ring ability and relied on their titanic personas to draw the crowd in, Randy Savage possessed technical in-ring abilities on top of his own enchanting charisma.
Seth Rollins may not be of the same personality as Savage, but he commands attention whenever he is on camera. He can be intense, compelling and believable, or he can be humourous, or intelligent and cunning.
Whether as a hero or villain, Rollins could have been the perfect foil for the Macho Man, and it is a shame the WWE never got the chance to see them in the ring together.
