"She needs to be put in her place" - 3-time WWE champion vows to dethrone Rhea Ripley

WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley

Nia Jax recently claimed she would be the one to end Rhea Ripley's reign as WWE Women's World Champion.

Jax initially had a seven-year run in the Stamford-based company, during which time she held the RAW Women's Championship and the Women's Tag Team Titles. However, she was released from her contract in November 2021. After nearly two years of absence, The Irresistible Force recently returned to Monday Night RAW. She will now square off against Shayna Baszler, Raquel Rodriguez, Zoey Stark, and Rhea Ripley in a Women's World Championship Match at Crown Jewel.

In an interview with After The Bell, Jax addressed her upcoming title match at Crown Jewel. She stated that she believes she will be the one to dethrone The Eradicator.

"Well, I mean, let's be real. At the end of the day, these girls are all trying to give me their best shot. And I said it Monday night, I haven't given anybody my best shot. You've only seen a little taste of what I can do. I haven't even shown anybody. We haven't even had a full match or anything," she said.

The 39-year-old added:

"So, I feel like all these girls going for the title. I definitely feel like I'm the one to dethrone Rhea. You know, she needs to be put in her place. She's got her little Dom Dom, that's over there, you know, talking s**t. All it does is take one simple Banzai Drop off the top where I squish her and it's done." [55:18 - 55:54]

Nia Jax benefited from her WWE release

Nia Jax spent nearly two years away from WWE following her release in 2021. Despite making a one-off return at the 2023 Women's Royal Rumble Match, she initially had no intention of being a full-time superstar again.

In her interview with After The Bell, the former RAW Women's Champion claimed her release was one of the best things that ever happened to her.

"I was pretty shocked too, with my time away, and it happened to become one of the best things that ever happened to me. I was able to really deep dive into finding myself again ... When you're in the bubble for so long, you kind of get lost in the sauce of WWE. It's a big, I don't want to say drug, but it's a bubble. You're in a bubble and you're stuck in the WWE world and you don't really see outside. You have your blinders on. Being released gave me the time to actually dive back into myself and figure out what I want and what I want to do." (H/T WrestlingInc)

Nia Jax building to become the newest member of The Bloodline after her recent return should be her next move, says veteran. Check out his comments here.
