The internet is convinced that Shinsuke Nakamura is calling out CM Punk for a showdown at Survivor Series.
The King of Strong Style has dropped some major teases that point toward a potential return of The Straight Edge Superstar in his hometown of Chicago next month. But what if the mystery opponent Nakamura keeps referring to in his promo is not Punk?
It is possible the former WWE Intercontinental Champion could be calling out Brock Lesnar for a blockbuster match at the November 25th premium live event.
With that said, The Beast Incarnate reportedly isn’t set to return to WWE until the WrestleMania season, which begins with the build-up to Royal Rumble in January. Lesnar was (again, reportedly) supposed to make his return earlier this fall, but those plans didn’t come through.
It is worth mentioning that Shinsuke Nakamura has an unpleasant history with Brock Lesnar. A young Nakamura was squashed by a fresh-out-of WWE Lesnar in their IWGP title match at the Tokyo Dome in 2006.
What did Shinsuke Nakamura say about Brock Lesnar after their infamous match?
Shinsuke Nakamura briefly talked about the emotionally devastating experience in his book. The 43-year-old star admitted he was reduced to tears post-match when he realized Lesnar had little to no respect for the business.
"I lost the match, and that was the first time I cried at pro wrestling after a match. It was the main event at the Tokyo Dome. This was a pretty hallowed stage, and I knew I hadn't fought the way I imagined I would. And there was, like, this temperature difference between Lesnar and me. I didn't get the sense he felt any love for pro wrestling. It felt like he was just doing his job," he said.

The two stars haven’t had a singles match against each other in WWE thus far. It is unknown if Triple H will book Nakamura to take on Lesnar at a future premium live event.
