Over the past few weeks, Shinsuke Nakamura has been creating waves with his recent appearances. After taking a lengthy hiatus from WWE and stepping away from wrestling, The King of Strong Style is back. And what's noticeable is his completely new look. This is not the same Nakamura that the WWE Universe is used to, and this may even call for a new nickname.

Shinsuke Nakamura returned in a surprising way by changing his appearance. Fans are used to seeing him in a red and black outfit, but this time he chose to wear all-black attire. He also applied black face paint, giving him a mysterious and spine-chilling look. So, given his Japanese background, "The Yokai of WWE" might be a fitting moniker for Nakamura.

In Japanese folklore, Yokai are considered to be entities and spirits. They are often used to offer interpretations for puzzling incidents and paranormal happenings, in other words, they are supernatural. With his recent transformation, Shinsuke Nakamura could easily be WWE's own Yokai. He is the very embodiment of an enigmatic presence exuding an eerie and sinister aura.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Of course, as things stand, this is nothing more than speculation. But, either way, it's great to see Nakamura back. Hopefully, he receives a major push, and reaches the dizzying heights he has never seen as a WWE Superstar.

Shinsuke Nakamura wrestled his last official WWE match 214 days ago

As mentioned earlier, it has been a while since Shinsuke Nakamura has competed in a WWE ring. But that might be a bit of an understatement. The last time the 44-year-old wrestled a match in WWE was a whopping 214 days ago. Moreover, it was even before he was drafted to SmackDown.

Wrestling his last match on RAW, Nakamura took on Sheamus. The moment was important, especially for The Celtic Warrior as he returned after a long absence due to injury, while his opponent was simply there to make him look good.

That being said, it looks like Nakamura has left all that in the past. Now, he is focused on one person and one person only, LA Knight. He has promised to expose The Megastar and his insecurities, which will undoubtedly be a tall task. But, for the most part, the Japanese star seems locked in and ready to deliver.
