#5. 'Macho Man' Randy Savage
'Macho Man' Randy Savage originally planned to have a career in Major League Baseball, and even played as a shortstop for the St. Louis Cardinals. However, Savage would instead be drawn into the Missouri pro wrestling scene, quickly becoming one of the top stars during the territorial days of the 1970s.
When the industry changed in the 1980s, 'Macho Man' signed with WWE and quickly captured the Intercontinental Championship. He would go on to reign as WWE World Champion, as well as capturing the WCW World title before that promotion went under.
While in the early days, his ring gear was fairly mundane, he always wore elaborate robes, and the designer sunglasses which became his trademark. Savage's look has evolved over the years, with his 'neon cowboy' era perhaps becoming the most iconic.
Savage's eye-catching, if not always eye pleasing, garment choices put him firmly on our list, as well as highlighting his versatility as a performer.
His flashy attire was a testament to his persona.
