#2 Brock Lesnar (WWE Universal Champion)
Brock Lesnar finally returned to WWE television a month ago and seemed determined to make a statement to his opponent at Great Balls of Fire, Samoa Joe. However, unlike most in WWE, Joe was unfazed by standing nose to nose with “The Beast Incarnate”.
After several weeks of encounters between the two men, a backstage interview was scheduled for this week, with both competitors in different places where a fight could not break out between them. However, half way through, the challenger did his best to find Lesnar and did, while being held back by officials.
But the champion was less than pleased by the challenger’s theatrics and even laughed in the face of his opponent this Sunday. Lesnar also spoke during the interview extensively, reminding us all of the champion he could be.
It is very clear that Samoa Joe does not fear Brock Lesnar one bit. Hopefully, this leads to an all-time great brawl at Great Balls of Fire, and quite honestly, is the first Lesnar match I’ve looked forward to since his match with Dean Ambrose at last year’s Wrestlemania (and we all know how that went).
However, it seems that Lesnar and Joe are destined to live up to the hype. Hopefully, this feud has brought out the best in Lesnar and forces him to realise the Universal champ he can be, instead of the one he has been.
