The Undertaker and Sting are both reportedly set to stay in Philadelphia, the city hosting this year’s WWE Royal Rumble PPV, over the course of this week.
The Undertaker was already pictured in Philly, taking in the sights at local tourist attractions. Fans can check out the Deadman’s video and photograph below.
On the other hand, Sting took to social media so as to assert that he’s heading to Philadelphia. You can see Sting's post below.
Sting has been booked to appear at the 'Icons of Wrestling & Comic Book Collectorfest' event on Saturday, January 27th between 10am and 7pm at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. The Royal Rumble PPV takes place the following night at the Wells Fargo Center in the same city.
We believe that the WWE may have plans for Sting and The Undertaker to participate in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match this weekend. In fact, a segment which is highly likely to transpire during the matchup is a scenario where The Undertaker stands tall in the ring, waiting for the next entrant, only to come face-to-face with ‘The Icon’ Sting.
The WWE’s Royal Rumble Match has traditionally featured several iconic face-offs over the course of its rich history. For instance, the 2017 Royal Rumble Match featured The Undertaker coming face to face with WCW legend and former World Heavyweight and Universal Champion, Goldberg.
The Undertaker would go on to eliminate Goldberg and a few other superstars, before being eliminated by Roman Reigns. While the Deadman eventually faced Reigns in a losing effort at WrestleMania 33, the former underwent hip surgery in the months that followed, and is now said to have made complete recovery, per sources close to The Undertaker, including WWE veteran X-Pac.
With The Undertaker and Sting both in Philadelphia, fans can expect both legends to square off inside the squared circle in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match.
