New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#1 Braun Strowman reveals who'll join him at WrestleMania 34
This past week, there was a Tag Team Battle Royal to close out RAW. The winner would go on to WrestleMania to take on The Bar. Fans were curious to see just who would make the cut. Various names were thrown out, including the Authors of Pain from NXT.
Instead, it was Braun Strowman who came out and tossed the competition out of the ring. Wait, but who would his tag team partner be? Various names were discussed including Elias and Bobby Lashley.
It turns out that Strowman's going into this one alone. In fact, he had this to say on social media:
Somehow, that just makes him sound scarier than ever before.
#2 Braun Strowman wants to face his old stablemate
Braun Strowman has done it all on RAW. Therefore, when he was asked by CBS Detroit to name someone he'd like to feud with in the future, we expected him to name a SmackDown Live superstar. Instead, Strowman came up with a surprising pick. Almost everyone was stunned!
According to Strowman, he wants to face Bray Wyatt. Why this pairing is intriguing is because Strowman was once a part of the Wyatt Family. The two men could have an interesting match, if booked well.
It would almost invariably end with Wyatt taking the pin. In any case, this is what Strowman had to say about facing the Monster Among Men.
I look forward to possibly having a rivalry with him. He's an unbelievable talent. He's one of the best guys we have as far as speaking, in-ring ability, everything. He's the total package, and he taught me a lot coming up with my time with the Wyatt Family, and yeah I'm sure it'll come back one day full circle with the monster and his per se creator goes at it.
#3 Elias' role at WrestleMania revealed
Elias may still be reeling from the brutal effects of the Symphony of Destruction match. However, the man does have big plans at WrestleMania 34. Elias wants to enthral the audience with his music. Imagine 70000 people in the throes of ecstasy, grooving to his tunes.
He was interviewed by Guitar World, despite his atonal musical knowledge and skills. This is what he had to say:
Yes, it would be an injustice if Elias was at WrestleMania and not performing in front of millions of people around the world, nearly 70,000 in attendance, it would be an absolute injustice. I will be performing, it will be an amazing memorable performance, unlike anything you've seen Elias do in the past.
#4 AJ Styles spoke about performing at WrestleMania 34
It's not Elias alone who's looking forward to WrestleMania. We can safely say that the whole WWE roster is. One performer who's looking to steal the show is AJ Styles. Styles goes one-on-one with Nakamura for the WWE Championship, at WrestleMania.
Styles stole the show with Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 33. He caught up with Men's Health and spoke about the WrestleMania experience. AJ maintained that one cannot get used to it because it only happens one time every year!
This is what he had to say about performing at the Grandest Stage of them all, in the interview with the publication:
It’s a special moment. That’s why there’s so many other guys in this business who maybe should have got out a while back, but it’s just hard to do when you’re walking down the aisle and there’s that many people with eyes on you.
#5 Ronda Rousey spoke about CM Punk's WWE return
Who would have thought CM Punk would be in the UFC and Ronda Rousey would be in WWE, a few years ago? While the roles have been reversed, both have brought many new eyeballs to their respective brands. It was only natural that Rousey would be asked about CM Punk coming to WWE. The question was posed to her by Metro Sports.
This is what she had to say about CM Punk's WWE return:
I think everybody on Earth would love to see him back in WWE, and I would completely fall all over myself and be honoured if he wanted to be involved with me in any way, shape or form.
It is clear that Rousey has a lot of respect for CM Punk, even now. Rousey revealed that she would respect Punk, no matter what he chose to do!
I’m sure there’s a lot of people that wish I would come back to fighting, but you know what, I don’t fight for them, and he doesn’t wrestle for us. He should do what he wants to do and what makes him into the person he feels like he’s meant to be. If that’s fighting right now, then all the power to him.
#6 Mick Foley revealed two superstars who should be in the Hall of Fame
Mick Foley may not be the General Manager of RAW any more, but he certainly does keep up with the product. Foley spoke about two superstars that deserve to go into the WWE Hall of Fame recently on Busted Open Radio. The first name he mentioned was Vader. The second, Chyna.
This is what he said about Chyna:
I like the fact Chyna is being mentioned, that she is being shown in clips. I would love to see her in (the Hall of Fame). I know how much it would mean to her mom. I tell people that you can't let that one decision dictate to you if your career was a success.
#7 Kurt Angle honored Eddie Guerrero
Many consider Kurt Angle to be the best in-ring performer of all time. Ever wondered whom Kurt Angle believes to be right up there in the spot? The answer- Eddie Guerrero. Everyone remembers the classic the two men had.
Angle posted this touching tribute on Instagram.
Fans were taken in by Kurt Angle's admiration for Eddie Guerrero. And on that note, we conclude this week's edition of SKFabe.
See you again next week!
