Solo Sikoa has a huge night ahead of him on SmackDown. As the blue brand prepares to move to the USA Network, The Street Champion will be busy preparing for an epic match. A match that will see him take on Cody Rhodes inside a Steel Cage. While the result of the match is still up in the air, one thing that is possible during the bout is seeing Sikoa pay homage to a WWE Hall of Famer.

The WWE Hall of Famer in question, is none other than Solo Sikoa's father, Rikishi. The 58-year-old was inducted way back in 2015 with an incredible career behind him. Looking back at his run, we can see that Rikishi himself is no stranger to Steel Cage Matches. In fact, in 2000, he had an epic moment at WWE Fully Loaded, and it is this very moment that Sikoa could pay homage to.

Taking on Val Venis in a Steel Cage Match for the Intercontinental Championship, Rikishi took a rather daring approach. At one point in the contest, after knocking Venis off the cage, The Samoan Stinker climbed to the very top and performed an incredible splash. Well, Solo Sikoa could do the same tonight against Cody Rhodes, in what would be a lovely tribute to his Hall of Fame father.

Solo Sikoa denied Jacob Fatu a World Title opportunity

While Solo Sikoa is the one stepping into the Steel Cage tonight, he wasn't The Bloodline member that Cody Rhodes wanted to face. Having defeated Sikoa in a Bloodline Rules Match at SummerSlam, The American Nightmare had his sights set on none other than Solo's Enforcer, Jacob Fatu.

Kicking off things on last week's episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes completely ignored The Street Champion and called upon The Samoan Werewolf. However, Sikoa was completely against it. And although Fatu stepped up at first, he backed off after seeing the look on his Tribal Chief's face.

Although he did reaffirm his love for Solo, one cannot help but wonder if the seeds of doubt have been sown in Jacob Fatu's mind. It will be interesting to see how this story develops, and if we could possibly see Fatu betray Sikoa in the future.
