WWE Superstar Solo Sikoa recently lost the WarGames match at Survivor Series where both branches of The Bloodline clashed against each other. While he had a herculean addition to his team in the form of Bronson Reed, The Auszilla injured his right ankle during the bout. Interestingly, this may have potentially opened the door for a heavyweight monster of the Anoa’i family, Journey Fatu, to join Solo's ranks.
Also known as The Odyssey of Death, Journey is the brother of Jacob Fatu. The 320-pounder has eight years of pro wrestling experience. The 28-year-old is a tag team specialist and has previously held the SPW Tag Team Championship alongside The Samoan Werewolf for almost a couple of months in 2017.
Recently, he has been climbing up the ladder as a singles superstar as well. Within just a year of shifting his focus away from doubles, he has already bagged the 412th position in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s annual PWI 500 list of top wrestlers. Thus, just like his brother Jacob, Journey can prove to be a lethal asset for Solo Sikoa.
Interestingly, Solo Sikoa’s father, Rikishi Fatu, recently made a post on Instagram and hyped up Journey, who is his nephew and the son of his brother Sam Fatu. The WWE Hall of Famer said that fans won’t be able to forget the name of The Odyssey of Death in the coming future.
"You’ll remember his name soon @journey_fatu #thejourneybegins #Hardcore #deathvalley 🩸☝🏾book him, you won’t be disappointed. @thesamoandynasty smarts!!" he wrote.
Bronson Reed is an agile monster who weighs 330 pounds. Thus, a replacement who weighs just ten pounds less and comes with the added specialty of tag team and deathmatch specialization, Journey makes a fitting replacement for the Aussie. However, all of this is speculation so far and fans have to wait to see what is next for Solo's Bloodline.
Solo Sikoa has the numbers advantage once again
While Bronson Reed is currently nursing his bad ankle, Jimmy Uso also got injured in the WarGames match and is down with a broken toe. While it would seem that both the OG and the New Bloodline have a man down, Reed was actually additional muscle. Thus, while Solo Sikoa still has his crew intact, Roman Reigns doesn't have any backup now.
Additionally, Jey Uso was ambushed backstage on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Even Sami Zayn was taken out with a vicious Claymore by a returning Drew McIntyre. Since CM Punk had made it clear that he was just teaming up with Reigns once, he won’t be on the side of The OTC as well.
Thus, the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion stands all alone once again. It would be interesting to see if Solo Sikoa uses this to his advantage and gives Reigns the same punishment he received at the WarGames match and demolishes The OTC with everyone’s finisher on his crew.
