#4. Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar put down Braun Strowman as WWE Universal Champions
Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar have both faced former Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship. Lesnar has faced Strowman four times on Premium Live Events for the company.
Their first match came during Lesnar’s first reign as the Universal Champion at SummerSlam 2017. It was where Lesnar pinned Reigns to retain his title in a Fatal Four-Way Match.
Next, Lesnar defeated Strowman in a one-on-one contest at No Mercy 2017. He followed it up with another win over The Monster Among Men at Royal Rumble 2018. Kane was also part of the Triple Threat Match for the title.
Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman met one final time at the 2018 Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. Lesnar once again defeated the big man to take the Universal Championship home.
At Hell in a Cell 2018, Roman Reigns defeated Strowman for the first time as the Universal Champion. He defeated Strowman and Bray Wyatt at Payback 2020 to win the title in a Triple Threat Match.
The Monster Among Men challenged Reigns for the title again on October 16, 2020, episode of SmackDown. Unfortunately, he failed to defeat The Tribal Chief once again.
Surprisingly, one of WWE’s biggest former superstars never defeated Lesnar or Reigns while they were holding the Universal Championship. It goes to show just how well the two men were booked during their reigns.
