#2. Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar defeated Daniel Bryan as WWE Universal Champions
Daniel Bryan competed against top superstars in WWE, including Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Bryan recently left WWE without winning the Universal Championship even once in his illustrious career.
The Planet’s Champion was the WWE Champion at the 2018 Survivor Series when he came face-to-face with Lesnar for the first time. Lesnar was the Universal Champion at the time, but neither men’s titles were on the line during the contest.
The Yes Man gave Lesnar one of the toughest matches of his career. In the end, Brock Lesnar defeated Bryan with a thunderous F-5.
Daniel Bryan challenged Roman Reigns four times for the Universal Championship. At the 2021 Elimination Chamber event, Reigns defeated Bryan to retain his title. The two men met at Fastlane 2021 with Edge as the ‘special enforcer’ for the contest. The Rated-R Superstar ended up costing Bryan the match.
At WrestleMania 37, Reigns, Edge, and Bryan competed in a Triple Threat Match. The Tribal Chief pinned both men to show his dominance and take home the Universal Championship.
Their fourth consecutive match came on the April 30, 2021 episode of SmackDown. Reigns once again defeated The Yes Man and ended his WWE career in the process.
