#1. Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to retain the WWE Universal Championship
As mentioned earlier, Brock Lesnar has defeated Roman Reigns three out of the five times the two superstars have faced each other for the Universal title. The other two times, Reigns has come out on top.
At SummerSlam 2018, Reigns defeated Lesnar for the first time to win the Universal Championship. He ended Lesnar’s championship reign at 504-days by defeating him at SummerSlam. It was the first time Reigns had won the title in his career. The Tribal Chief was forced to relinquish the title just over two months after his big win.
The two men most recently competed for the title at Crown Jewel 2021. Reigns went into the match as the Universal Champion and defeated The Beast Incarnate to retain his title. It was also the first match between the two superstars in which Paul Heyman was by Roman Reigns’ side instead of Lesnar’s.
Brock Lesnar and The Head of the Table have put on some hard-hitting matches against each other. They remain the biggest draws in the company today, and a match between them is always good for business.
