After his live interview with Vince McMahon on the WWE Network last Monday night, another edition of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s podcast show was done this week. In this version, Austin spoke about being backstage at Monday Night Raw, the interview with McMahon and more as he drives around the Broken Skull Ranch with a friend.
Regarding Vince’s interview, he said, “Vince had had a long-ass day. He had flown in from Stamford, got to the building, and is working through all the storylines that everyone’s got going. He wrote the damn show before he came over to talk to us, then he does the show, producing it at Gorilla position.
“By the time I got him, I thought the dude was gonna be frazzled … I thought he was very open and honest. But when you’re talking to the head of this big corporate monster, sometimes he’s gotta choose his words wisely. We would have delved deeper into the CM Punk issue, but as he stated, he didn’t want to wash that dirty laundry in public.”
Cesaro has superstar qualities according to Austin
About Cesaro not getting a push, the Texas Rattlesnake stated that said he was the only star backstage who came into the dressing room to have a conversation. “I like that dude. He’s missing one piece of the puzzle, but I think he’s got ‘Superstar’ written all over him.”
Austin advices Roman Reigns to study footages of legends
Stone Cold also had words of advice for Roman Reigns as he has asked him to use his time off to study old Jim Crockett footage, and to study bigger guys like Bruiser Brody, as well as legends like Bret Hart, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels, who he considers to be the best three of all time.
Another interesting note is that Austin had a long conversation with Kane backstage, and noted that recently when he took him off, he got so bored that he called the company and wanted to come back right away. He said that Kane is feeling good at 47 after almost 20 years in WWE, and has obviously been in the gym recently.
