Stone Cold's status for Wrestlemania

With the road to Wrestlemania already under way, many fans have been speculating whether the toughest S.O.B. in the WWE will return on the biggest stage of them all, WrestleMania, and possibly face former WWE Champion CM Punk. It is still unclear on the role to be played by Punk or his possible opponent at WrestleMania, fueling rumours that Austin may very well return to RAW in the upcoming weeks.

However, it is safe to assume that Austin will NOT be returning anytime soon. He has been heard interviewing with many radio talk shows to promote the release of his latest action movie “The Package”. Stone Cold said that he is still recovering from the ACL surgery seven months ago, which led to his unavailability on RAW 1000 back in July, and he’s still not up to full speed yet, but doing daily cardio and rehab.

Stone Cold had previously expressed his desire to work a match with CM Punk with the right storyline but it will not happen at this Mania. Stone Cold fans may have to wait another year to see their superstar in the WWE with Wrestlemania 30 being a huge possibility.
