WWE announcer Corey Graves has been out of in-ring competition for around a decade. He used to wrestle in Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), which later turned into NXT. However, The Saviour of Misbehavior was forced to hang up his boots due to issues arising from concussions he suffered throughout his 14-year-long career.
The 40-year-old confirmed in 2022 that he was cleared to wrestle again, but it is unlikely that he will step back in the ring again based on his actions at Clash at the Castle.
At the end of the show, Drew McIntyre lost his temper after CM Punk appeared as a referee and cost him the World Heavyweight Championship match against Damian Priest. This led to The Scottish Warrior going berserk and running through everyone in his way. At one point, he even choked Corey Graves. The WWE announcer did not fight back and instead begged McIntyre to let him go.

It seems like the former NXT Tag Team Champion is done with in-ring action for good, as his reaction showed that he does not want to be at odds with anyone who can hurt him physically.
Corey Graves is focused on his role as a commentator in WWE
Although Corey Graves is medically cleared to return to the squared circle, he is currently focused on calling matches in the WWE.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, The Saviour of Misbehavior said the following about a potential in-ring return:
"I could give you five different answers for that, but I can honestly say my focus has really shifted. I got cleared. It was almost two years ago now, and it was in the midst of a lot of different things were happening, professionally and personally, and I was sort of looking for something to scratch that itch. But since I've slid over into the now lead role on Friday Night SmackDown in the commentary booth, that's actually provided me with a lot more motivation and a new skill to learn and to focus on."
Graves is open to lacing up his boots again if it is part of a bigger story. He also named Seth Rollins and CM Punk as two stars he would like to wrestle if he returns to the ring.
