Suggesting 5 Wrestlemania angles for The Broken Hardys

The Broken Hardys could be coming to the WWE

Matt and Jeff Hardy could have continued with their original gimmicks and they would still have been considered pioneers in professional tag-team wrestling, many decades down the line.

Being the Innovators that they are, not only did they redefine the way tag team matches were wrestled during the Attitude Era; they also redefined themselves in 2016.

Adopting a ‘Broken’ gimmick, which is equal parts satire, gibberish and entertainment; they made wrestling fun once again and more importantly, TNA relevant again!

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Recently, we reported that rumours were rife about the Hardy Boyz coming to Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando, Florida! Who will they be deleting at the biggest show of the year? Let’s discuss and speculate.

#5 Impromptu match with New Day

Will we finally get to witness this much-awaited contest?

Broken Matt Hardy has been very vocal about wanting to face ‘The Day of New’, or for those who don’t speak the Broken Tongue - The New Day! Not only did The New Day do a poor parody of The Final Deletion with the Wyatt Family, as of now, they do not have a match for Wrestlemania 33.

From what we gather, they are just the hosts for the mega event at present.

The New Day has been aimless and directionless over the past few months after their long record-breaking tag team championship reign. They need The Hardys just as much as the Hardys need them at this point.

Speaking of gibberish, if anything can match up to unicorns and Booty-Os, it is talk about being deleted and becoming obsolete.

Both teams are known for very different brands of humour but we believe that in the right environment, with half the crowd chanting ‘New Day Rocks’ and the other ‘Delete’, it’ll be awesome!

#4 Being fed Handsome Rusev and Jinder Mahal

This is, unfortunately, a likely scenario

It is has become an annual tradition to feed promising young talent to stars of the past every year at Wrestlemania. Last year, The Rock came out for a meaningless segment, buried the Wyatt Family on the microphone and then defeated Erick Rowan in just 6 seconds.

This year, it could be Rusev’s turn and unfortunately, this seems like a role he excels in.

Not only did the League of Nations (Rusev’s old heel stable) get beaten down by an ensemble consisting of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley last year at Wrestlemania, Rusev also ate a Superkick from Shawn Michaels and a Jackhammer from Goldberg, over many weeks, on Raw.

Considering that he seems to be little more than a jobber at present, he could be primed as fodder for the Broken Ones. Like Metallica once said in their classic, ‘it’s sad but true’.

#3 Challenging one of the tag team champions

Will American Alpha finally have formidable opponents?

As we’ve seen recently, neither Raw nor Smackdown has a really formidable tag team roster. The Usos are leaps and bounds ahead of everyone on Smackdown (except for American Alpha) and do we really want to see a match between The Club and Enzo & Cass after Fastlane, once again?

The Hardys can be brought in to challenge one of the champions as part of their ‘Expedition of Gold’ series. The brothers recently began travelling around the world, challenging champions for their gold.

This could be the final destination in their massive quest.

#2 Deleting Meekmahan and the Man with Three H's

The Meekmahan family better watch out for Broken Matt!

This is certainly not as implausible as you think! Heck, there was an entire program between Alicia Fox, Cedric Alexander and Noam Dar based on how the latter says Fox’s surname and well, Matt Hardy says McMahon in a funny way, as well.

Who knows... it may just tickle Vince's funny bone.

As it stands, it is unclear whether Seth Rollins will even be able to return in time to face Triple H for their highly anticipated Wrestlemania match. What better way to give the fans a moment they will cherish forever, than with the huge return of the Broken Hardys?

Even if Triple H does compete against Rollins, we know from previous experience that he’s been on multiple Wrestlemania segments before despite having matches on the same card, including the Ronda Rousey segment after facing Sting.

#1 Getting involved in the alleged Wrestlemania main event

Will The Hardys cost Bray Wyatt the WWE championship?

Not so long ago, Bray Wyatt and Broken Matt Hardy were embroiled in a Twitter war. This was the aftermath of the parody that WWE attempted after the success of The Final Deletion match between the two Hardy brothers.

They obviously still have unfinished business. Considering that absolutely nobody seems excited at the thought of a Luke Harper, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt match (this is apparently the plan for Wrestlemania 33), why not have The Hardys interfere?

This could be a program that lasts for months, makes sense and just draws many older fans (and TNA loyalists) in, based on the sheer equity of the Hardy name!
