It is has become an annual tradition to feed promising young talent to stars of the past every year at Wrestlemania. Last year, The Rock came out for a meaningless segment, buried the Wyatt Family on the microphone and then defeated Erick Rowan in just 6 seconds.
This year, it could be Rusev’s turn and unfortunately, this seems like a role he excels in.
Female superstar says she inspired John Cena turning heel HERE
Not only did the League of Nations (Rusev’s old heel stable) get beaten down by an ensemble consisting of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley last year at Wrestlemania, Rusev also ate a Superkick from Shawn Michaels and a Jackhammer from Goldberg, over many weeks, on Raw.
Considering that he seems to be little more than a jobber at present, he could be primed as fodder for the Broken Ones. Like Metallica once said in their classic, ‘it’s sad but true’.
