Heidenreich has always been something of an enigma. Originally pitched to be a cryogenically-frozen Nazi who had been revived by Paul Heyman (who is in real-life a Jewish son of a Holocaust survivor), Heidenreich was always someone to be wary of.

After turning face in 2005, Heidenreich sided with legend Road Warrior Animal, as the new Legion of Doom. Teaming with Christy Hemme, the pair quickly won the WWE Tag Team Championships from MNM at the Great American Bash.

Despite a 3 month reign, the two never set the world on fire, despite Heidenreich painting his face to match his team-mate. Even using the Doomsday device couldn't salvage this group, and they lost the titles back to MNM in October. Heidenreich was released in January the next year.
