Lasting a mere 27 days, Luke Harper's Intercontinental championship reign was short-lived, to say the least. The future-Bludgeon Brother captured the title from Dolph Ziggler, who had put his career on the line to take the belt from the Miz.

Harper won the title after interference from Seth Rollins, who was leading team Authority against team Cena at the time, building to their Survivor Series winner takes all match.

Harper had very few title defenses, and lost the title almost immediately, back to Ziggler in a Ladder match at TLC. It would be 3 years later before the former Brodie Lee tasted gold again.
