LA Knight and Logan Paul continue their feud, but this time Santos Escobar has been added to their confrontation, setting the stage for a Triple Threat Qualifying Match for the upcoming Money in the Bank Premium Live Event scheduled to be held at Toronto, Canada on July 6.
The Money in the Bank Ladder Match is one of the most impactful matches for WWE Superstars, as it guarantees a future title match for the winner. With that in mind, we take a look at what can happen in Friday's match and three possible finishes that could create new angles and storylines going forward.
#3. LA Knight advances to Money in the Bank match
This is the easiest way for WWE to push LA Knight and make him a favorite to claim the MITB Briefcase. It has been a while since Knight got a major push from the company, which went as far as a title match against then Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Fast forward to today, if they want to push LA Knight, what better way to do so than having him survive a Triple Threat Match and go on to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match next Saturday, thus guaranteeing The Megastar a title match in the future.
WWE has not made its plans clear on what direction they might move, with regards to LA Knight, but this is a likely scenario.
#2. Surprise superstar wins and advances to the MITB Ladder Match
This surprise superstar is no other than Santos Escobar. He has done a great job as a heel for several weeks and it would make sense for WWE to give him an opportunity to become the new Mr. Money in the Bank.
He already had a match with Knight last week before Logan Paul interfered and set the tone for this Friday's MITB Qualifying Match. He could take advantage of the feud between Knight and Paul and upset both to qualify for next Saturday's Ladder Match.
#1. Title Match set for Money in the Bank between Logan Paul and LA Knight
Fans have seen LA Knight and United States Champion Logan Paul continue their feud, which has intensified lately. Paul has done a great job as a heel, while LA Knight is among the top babyfaces in WWE. Thus, it would make sense for WWE to have Logan Paul put his title on the line against Knight in the upcoming Money in the Bank PLE.
For this to happen though, Santos Escobar has to take advantage of the feud between the two superstars and upset them to get the win. It is a no brainer that Paul and Knight will look to take each other out, so an Escobar win could lead SmackDown GM Nick Aldis to schedule a title match between the two next Saturday.
This title match would make sense, as it would bolster the match card for the premium live event, since the two superstars could be out of the card for the PLE should they lose Friday's Triple Threat Match.
