Survivor Series 2017: 5 most outrageous things that can happen at the WWE pay-per-view

WWE Survivor Series
What will the WWE do to make Survivor Series 2017 a memorable one?

Last of WWE's big four pay-per-views is less than a few hours away, and this year Survivor Series will have to really be OUTRAGEOUS to top what the WWE universe experienced last time around.

Rewind 364 days to Survivor Series 2016, arguably the best PPV of that year, and the fans were treated to the much-hyped in-ring return of the one and only Goldberg. The Myth marked his comeback, 12 years in the making, with a stunning win over Brock Lesnar.

The stuff of dreams, right? Difficult to top it, well almost.

While only a return of that magnitude or a few legendary matches can help this year's PPV come close to last years, the WWE creative team always has a few tricks up their sleeve and there is no reason why something as outrageous as that will not be witnessed this time around.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

We do have some scintillating bouts scheduled for tonight with Lesnar facing off against AJ Styles, Kurt Angle taking on Shane McMahon, years after THAT legendary match, in the 5-on-5 elimination match, the Shield taking on New Day and more.

With so many good matches on the match card, there are multiple possibilities of unbelievable twists happening during the 5-hour long PPV and here we look at the 5 most outrageous ones:

#5 Daniel Bryan makes shocking interference in 5-on-5 Elimination Match

Will Bryan turn on his boss?

Daniel Bryan has had a long-standing desire to make his in-ring return to the WWE's hallowed squared circle. While that still may be a far-fetched idea, there is no one stopping the SmackDown general manager from interfering in a match.

In the 5-on-5 elimination match... To avenge the attack by Kane... Or...

While we are at 'outrageous' let's allow our minds to wander a bit. What if, Bryan makes his way to the ring to attack Kane but the Big Red Machine manages to evade and Bryan ends up attacking Shane McMahon, thereby plotting the seeds of a mind-blowing feud between SmackDown's two top executives.

There has been noted friction between Bryan and McMahon in recent weeks, that in addition to the attack by Kane, will force the YES! Man to take up arms once again (not literally).

#4 Natalya is attacked before the match by returning superstar

The Anti-Diva is one of the names who could return.
The Anti-Diva is one of the names who could return.

Natalya was the last name to be announced to be on Team SmackDown for the 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match against Team Raw.

The former SmackDown women's champion hasn't had the best of recent weeks, having dropped her title to Charlotte Flair. Things can go from bad to worse for Natalya if either of Paige or Brie Bella attacking her before the start of the big match, and thereby taking her spot on Team SmackDown.

Paige's career has come to a screeching halt ever since that neck injury sidelined her. Career-threatening injuries, scandals, break-ups and what not has happened in Paige's life since then and a return has been rumoured for weeks. While her return may not be of the magnitude of Goldberg, it would be a huge relief for her and a pleasant surprise for the WWE Universe.

But, Paige is not the only one who can make a potential return and cost Natalya her place on Team SmackDown. Daniel Bryan's wife Brie Bella has been vocal about a potential return to WWE, having been sidelined due to her pregnancy and the eventual birth of their daughter Birdie, and it is not a farfetched thought to see Brie returning and attacking Natalya before the match.

#3 Big E turns on The New Day

Big E could follow his aspirations as a singles star.
Big E could follow his aspirations as a singles star.

The New Day have established themselves as one of the all-time great Tag Teams. But, sadly, all good things must come to an end, and what better way to break up a power-packed Tag Team than taking out the'Power' from the equation, at a Pay-Per-View, which happens to be one of the Big 4, against a recently reunited Shield.

Wow! That is some insane stuff.

Big E is destined for greater things, while this gimmick has helped him become a household name, it no longer cuts it for him. The powerhouse would definitely want to challenge for the WWE Title somewhere down the line and it has to begin someday, so why not today?

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston are essentially deadweights dragging the big star down. Big E doesn't need them anymore, and cutting them loose seems like a logical option.

At Survivor Series, on one hand, The Shield - one of WWE's legendary factions - will mark their PPV return, on the other, it could spell the end of one of other great Tag Teams.

#2 Jason Jordan's ultimate heel turn

The heel turn needs to happen.
The heel turn needs to happen.

Jason Jordan was removed from Team RAW by his father and red-brand's General Manager, Kurt Angle, after sustaining a storyline injury in his match against Bray Wyatt, who slammed his knee against the post.

Despite Jordan's best efforts to coarse his father into reversing his decision, Angle stood by his decision before Triple H returned to live television after another hiatus, only to Pedigree Jordan and announce himself as the 5th member of Team RAW.

Things are not going according to plan for Jordan and it is in these situations that the decisions made by a superstar, makes or breaks his character. Given his young blood, Jordan can be expected to make some impulsive decisions, which may or may not be in the best interest of his career.

One of which can be Jordan getting involved in a heated argument with Angle ahead of the Elimination match, with the argument soon turning into a confrontation between the father and son.

Then during the 5-on-5 match, Jordan interferes and avenges the pedigree that Triple H greeted him with last week, resulting in The Game's elimination.

Not only that, Angle tries to stop him but is also caught in the crossfire as an unhinged Jordan hands out some brutal punishment to the duo.

If only this happens, if only...

#1 Finn Balor attacks Brock Lesnar and forms Balor Club

Will the Balor Club reign supreme after Survivor Series?

Finn Balor was crowned the first-ever WWE Universal Champion but had to relinquish his title the very next day due to the injury sustained in the SummerSlam encounter against Seth Rollins.

The Demon King has not got his long overdue title shot ever since his return to the hallowed square circle of WWE. I bet Balor's hands are itching about getting the belt back which was taken away from him due to an injury and not a loss.

Balor certainly deserves a shot at the title and is there a better way to do it than to confront Brock Lesnar in his dream match against AJ Styles. Tonight can be the start of a legendary feud between The Demon King and The Beast Incarnate. It will be Lesnar's brute strength taking on Balor's agility, it will be a clash of two opposite styles of wrestling and more often than not is the perfect receipe for an instant classic.

Not only that, who can forget about Finn Balor's Bullet Club from his time before the WWE. The Demon King has teased reuniting with his stablemates under a new name 'The Balor Club' for a while now. If he has to take on Lesnar, he certainly will need all the manpower than he gets.

Balor interfering in Lesnar's match against Styles, accompanied by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson will certainly blow the roof of Toyota Center, Houston where this year's Survivor Series kicks off in a few hours.

Here's hoping the WWE Creative Team has planned something as 'OUTRAGEOUS' as the things we have listed in this article.
