WWE focuses on in-ring performance and compelling narratives, and a crucial aspect of storytelling in professional wrestling is the classic act of betrayal. Thankfully, the Triple-H-led promotion has mastered the art of betrayal flawlessly. The creative team excels in crafting deceitful storylines that will keep fans engaged.

Betrayal is a common theme in WWE storylines, whether it's a sudden Sweet Chin Music to the face for Marty Jannetty from Shawn Michaels or a chair shot from Seth Rollins that ends The Shield. This pattern of betrayal has continued to be present in WWE in 2024 and is expected to persist in 2025 and the future.

That being said, New Year's is still two months away. Two months is still plenty of time for the WWE Universe to feast its eyes on even more treachery. So, let's not stand on ceremony. Here are three betrayals to expect in WWE before the end of the calendar year.

#3. Jade Cargill backstabs Bianca Belair to prove she is the strongest woman in WWE

On paper, this is no doubt a major betrayal, but one that a lot of members of the WWE Universe will be happy to see. Since joining the company, Jade Cargill hasn't done much as a singles competitor. Yes, she had an incredible Royal Rumble debut and even participated in the Queen of the Ring tournament, but that's pretty much it when looking at her resume as a singles star.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

This is primarily because she has been joined at the hip with Bianca Belair, and together, they're the Women's Tag Team Champions. And while a title is great, many would love to see the duo go head-to-head. That is why, before 2024 ends, we may see Cargill stab Belair in the back. It still feels too early to have The EST turn heel, so Cargill has to be the one to do it. It's all for the greater good though, as it will hopefully lead to an epic match at WrestleMania 41.

#2. The New Day's 10th anniversary will end in disaster

This one has been hinted at for quite some time now, but it looks like The New Day's reign as one of the most beloved tag teams in history is about to come to an end. What's more, it may even happen at their 10th anniversary celebrations. The group will celebrate this momentous occasion sometime this month, and that is where Xavier Woods may strike.

For months now, it has seemed like Xavier Woods has had enough of The New Day. He's had enough of the music, enough of the hip-shaking, enough of the pancakes, and certainly enough of The Booty-Os. He wants to get back to winning championships, and the thought is starting to settle in his mind that he cannot do that with Kofi Kingston. So, he could betray the former WWE Champion and look to make a name for himself on his own.

#1. Finn Balor looks like he's had enough of The Judgment Day

At SummerSlam, Finn Balor pulled off an epic coup, as he masterminded the ostracizing of both Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest from The Judgment Day. In his mind, it was something that needed to be done to return the group to the days of old, when they had no leaders. However, since kicking out both Ripley and Priest, the group, and in particular, Balor have struggled. Yes, he is one-half of the World Tag Team Champions, and Liv Morgan is the Women's World Champion, but clearly, that is not enough.

It is now slowly becoming clear that the main reason why Finn Balor got rid of his former allies, was so that the focus could switch to him. But, nothing has changed. Not only did he lose to Damian Priest at Bad Blood, but the latter is thriving without the group. Furthermore, Balor seems to be growing more and more annoyed with the people around him. This could lead to him abandoning the group, perhaps when they need him most.
