Tama Tonga, born Alipate Aloisio Leone, is a force to be reckoned with in professional wrestling. Debuting in 2010, Tonga's career has been marked by dominance and a fierce fighting spirit. He's currently performing on Friday nights on WWE's SmackDown as part of the Bloodline faction. Before arriving in WWE, Tonga had a huge career in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) for over a decade.
There, he co-founded the iconic Bullet Club, which is considered one of the greatest factions in modern wrestling. Alongside his real-life brother, Tanga Loa, they formed the unstoppable tag team Guerrillas of Destiny (G.O.D.). Their reign included a record-setting seven IWGP Tag Team Championship victories. Tonga's accolades extend beyond tag team success. He's a four-time NEVER Openweight Champion. In April 2024, Tama Tonga joined WWE as a member of The Bloodline.

What is Tama Tonga's Finisher?
Tama Tonga uses the Gun Stun as his finishing move. It is an energy strike which is enough to finish off his opponent. Gun Stun serves as Tama Tonga's calling card. It's a picture-perfect jumping cutter, executed with incredible agility and precision. Tonga positions himself on the turnbuckle, leaps off with a roar, and connects with a brutal blow to the back of his opponent's neck. The impact often drives the opponent face-first into the mat, leaving them vulnerable to a pinfall.
He additionally uses Dream Catcher which is a twister, and Ghost Face, which is a Fireman Carry Flapjack as his other finishers.
Signature Moves
Apart from his finishing moves, Tama Tonga has several other moves as his signature to beat his opponents. He mostly uses Tornillo (Corkscrew plancha), Stinger Splash, Karate chops, Powerslam, Tongan Twist (Inverted facelock DDT), and Headshrinker (Jumping double underhook DDT) as his finishers. The Headshrinker is also known as Veleno which Tonga used as his finisher until 2016.

Tama Tonga Theme Song
Tama Tonga joined WWE in April 2024 and does not have any dedicated theme song yet. He makes his entrance alongside Solo Sikoa to his “Take it All” theme song by Def Rebel or the “Head of the Table” theme song. Throughout his wrestling career, Tama Tonga's entrance themes have reflected his evolving persona and allegiances. For most of his wrestling career, he has used the Spider Dance theme song in NJPW.
Spider Dance (NJPW)
This high-energy, guitar-driven theme served as Tama Tonga's solo entrance music during most of his years in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). It embodied his flamboyant personality and unpredictable fighting style.
Shoot 'Em (Bullet Club)
When Tama Tonga co-founded the infamous Bullet Club, their entrance theme, "Shoot 'Em," became synonymous with their rebellious and anti-establishment attitude. This aggressive rock song with its signature "gunshot" sound effect perfectly represented the Bullet Club's "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality.
Guerilla Tactics (G.O.D.)
As one-half of the dominant Guerrillas of Destiny (G.O.D.) tag team with his brother Tanga Loa, their entrance theme was "Guerrilla tactics." This intense, percussion-heavy track was based around the team's chaotic and unpredictable "Guerilla Warfare" approach to wrestling.
Last Chance Saloon (Bullet Club)
While not his specific theme, "Last Chance Saloon" served as the collective entrance music for the Bullet Club during Tama Tonga's early tenure. This song maintained the group's rebellious spirit but incorporated a more laid-back, swaggering feel.
