At NXT TakeOver: WarGames during Survivor Series weekend, Tegan Nox was the victim of a vicious and shocking assault at the hands of her former best friend and tag team partner, Dakota Kai.
What happened at NXT TakeOver: WarGames?
At TakeOver, when it came time for the Women's WarGames match, it was found that Mia Yim could not compete following a backstage assault. Rhea Ripley had no other option but to bring in Kai to fill that position.

Kai had originally been left out of that position by Ripley who had implied that she was not good enough, but had still chosen Tegan Nox, Dakota Kai's partner.
When it was Kai's turn to enter the ring, she came out but then turned back to assault the shocked Tegan Nox, decimating her leg with cage door repeatedly, before leaving to go to the back, essentially ensuring Ripley's team was left at a 4-on-2 disadvantage — a disadvantage despite which they were able to win.
Tegan Nox addresses assault at NXT TakeOver: WarGames
Now, Tegan Nox has reacted for the first time and has provided a medical update after Survivor Series weekend.
She said that she was okay, but 'banged up' and needed some time to heal. However, the part that had hurt her the most was that someone she loved as 'family' was the one to have done this to her. She promised that she would get her answers.
Given that this is a time where Nox should be celebrating, with WWE NXT having won at WWE Survivor Series, she cannot think of anything else at the moment. When she does return, Dakota Kai will have a lot to answer for.
