#7 John Cena giving Daniel Bryan contract advice
It’s no secret that Daniel Bryan’s contract with WWE is due to expire in later in 2018 and while he remains one of the company’s most popular stars, the company has still not finalized a new deal yet. If that wasn’t hard enough to believe, especially since WWE originally didn’t want to lose him to indie promotions, it’s now being rumoured that it’s due to advice was given to him by John Cena.
According to Wrestlingrumors.com,” John Cena could be causing some major issues between Bryan and WWE officials. Apparently, Cena advised him to hire ICM Partners to negotiate his contract extension with the company. ICM Partners are telling Bryan to begin negotiations asking for as much as possible before re-signing with the company.
Some are speculating that Cena was just giving his brother in law honest advice about how to handle his next contract, but one has to wonder if he has ulterior motives on this one. In fact, it almost seems like Cena wants the deal between WWE and Daniel Bryan to fall through or at least hit some kind of snag that paints Bryan in a negative light.
Of course, that’s just speculation and would be pretty petty of Cena to do, but it's not totally out of line when considering his behaviours in the past. In the end, maybe John Cena’s changed and is just trying to help his brother in law out in regards to getting the best deal possible, it is hurting WWE and Daniel Bryan’s relationship in the meantime.
