Tetsuya Naito is a professional wrestler born in Japan and currently performing for New Japan Pro Wrestling. In NJPW, he is the leader of Los Ingobernables de Japón stable. Born on June 22, 1982, Naito has been involved in professional wrestling since 2006 and has been working with NJPW ever since. After a four-year stint with the promotion, he went on to fight for TNA and CMLL before returning back to Japan in 2010.

With six IWGP Intercontinental Title reigns, he has won the title more times than anyone else in the history of the promotion. In 2023, he also made his debut in All Elite Wrestling during the Forbidden Door pay-per-view event.
What finisher does Tetsuya Naito use?
Tetsuya Naito's signature finisher is called the Destino. It's a complex move that involves a half-Nelson suplex with a reverse DDT. It is regarded as one of the most protected finishers in professional wrestling. Naito begins by applying an arm wrench to his opponent and then transitions into a half-nelson hold, wrapping his arm around the opponent's neck. With his opponent trapped, he lifts them and performs a somersault, and positions the opponent for a brutal impact. As they land, Naito drives their head down into the mat with a twisting motion, similar to a DDT but delivered from a unique angle.
Before Destino, Tetsuya Naito also used the Stardust Press. Naito displayed his high-flying ability by climbing to the top turnbuckle and launching himself into a corkscrew moonsault, aiming for a devastating impact on his opponent. He stopped using the move in 2015. The same year, he also stopped using the Pluma Blanca, which was a submission move and a modified Koji Clutch putting pressure on the neck and the arm of the opponent.
Before his finisher, he uses his famous signature taunt "Abre los Ojos" which in Spanish means "Open Your Eyes". During his 2009 Mexican excursion, Naito faced racist taunts targeting his eyes. Rather than be broken, he turned the negativity on its head. He took inspiration from it and created a powerful symbol, which is easily one of the most famous symbols from NJPW.
What is the theme song of Tetsuya Naito?
Tetsuya Naito's iconic theme song is called "Stardust”. It perfectly suits his entrance and in-ring persona. Naito has been long known as the Stardust Genius and it makes sense for his theme to be of the same name. The song is a single by Kazsin and has been used as the theme of Naito since August 2011.
Before “Stardust”, he used “Jumping High” by Yonosuke Kitamura as a singles wrestler in New Japan Pro Wrestling. He also used a few themes as a tag team superstar alongside Yujiro Takahashi including “No Limit” by 2 Unlimited and "Du Hast" by Rammstein.
