If ratings were limited to just this year, Johnny Gargano would probably rank first. I strongly suspect that when we're looking back on the best matches of the year two months from now, Johnny Gargano will have taken part in at least three of the top five.
His feud with Tommaso Ciampa has been far and away the year's best and his character arc is one of the best stories WWE has ever told.
Johnny Gargano is taking a pause from Ciampa for now, but he's going to come back with a vengeance soon. He's always been a great wrestler (as his rating proves), but this year has seen him explode into one of the best in the business.
