#3 Honky Tonk Man
The greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time is the way The Honky Tonk Man frequently referred to himself when he reigned as Champion and for every day after.
While that point is debatable, what is unquestionable fact is that Honky, two decades after his title loss remains the longest reigning IC title holder of all time.
Honky won the title from Ricky Steamboat on June 2, 1987, and held it until August 29,1988, when he dropped it in memorable and double-quick fashion to the Ultimate Warrior.
For 454 days, Honky was a heat magnet as he used every trick in the book to hold onto the title, becoming a major drawing card in the process. Honky's title matches main-evented countless live events as fans flocked to see their heroes dethrone the hated Champion.
Warrior would be the only man to be successful in this quest. Honky only reigned as Champion once but his legacy as Champion has endured for 20 years.
