#4 Sherri Martel (441 days)
"Sensational" Sherri Martel is better remembered as a valet and manager, such was her incredible talent as a mouthpiece for the likes of Macho Man Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and Harlem Heat.
However, in her heyday, she was quite the accomplished grappler. After defeating her mentor, The Fabulous Moolah for the belt in July 1987, in her WWF debut no less, Martel reigned as the figurehead of the Women's division for 15 months, until she was upended in an upset to Rockin' Robin.

A dynamic and adequate worker for the time, Martel was a very accomplished act. However, women's wrestling was not in vogue in North America in the 1980's and Martel recognized her career longevity would be better served by switching to management.
It was a decision that paid dividends and Martel remained active full time in the business until 1997.
