The biggest winners and losers of last night's Raw (October 8)

Winner: Dean Ambrose

This was an important development. One wonders whether WWE is pulling the trigger too soon, but Ambrose will probably hover between stalwart ally and dubious ally for the next few months.

After a great match, Dean Ambrose walked out on the Shield. Now there are full-fledged doubts in the group and a point of intrigue to watch for future episodes. Perhaps we see the beginnings of the road to a Shield triple threat at WrestleMania 35.

Or it could all be a ruse. We'll have to see. But for now, this point of intrigue is something Raw badly needed, especially when it comes to the full-time talent on the show. In an episode where much of the build centered on part-timers we won't see soon, this was an ideal way to end the program.
