Winner: Adam Cole

We were supposed to get Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin. How fortunate that this happened instead!

As you would expect, this was an electric match. The fact that Adam Cole beat Daniel Bryan clean was an even more electric statement.

On the one hand, that doesn't look so great for one of WWE's mainstay main event stars, but Daniel Bryan is a made man and can afford a loss. Adam Cole might still find himself on one of the main shows next year, so this was an excellent way to make a first impression with a wider audience.

He's also going to be involved in Survivor Series, so this was a good way to hype whatever it is that he'll do there. Hopefully it won't be a straight triple threat match against Brock Lesnar and The Fiend, though, because it will be all too obvious he's just there to take the pin if that winds up being the case.
