The final episode of WWE SmackDown before the Money in the Bank premium live event will air from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, tonight.
The show will feature A-Town Down Under vs DIY for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Moreover, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will take on Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell, while Pretty Deadly will go head-to-head with The Street Profits. A lot more is expected to happen as the Stamford-based promotion would want to create hype for Money in the Bank.
So, without further ado, let's look at six possible surprises for WWE SmackDown tonight.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#6. Rikishi joins The Bloodline
The Bloodline held an Acknowledgment Ceremony last week on SmackDown, where every member of the group except Paul Heyman acknowledged Solo Sikoa as their Tribal Chief. The former Wiseman got punished for being loyal to Roman Reigns as Sikoa and his men unleashed an assault on him and kicked him out of the group.
In the new Bloodline, Solo Sikoa has replaced Roman Reigns, Tama Tonga has replaced Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu has taken the spot of the Enforcer, held by Sikoa in the past, and Tonga Loa has taken the role of Jimmy Uso.
The Bloodline will likely add a new Wiseman, too, and it is possible that Sikoa will give that position to his father, Rikishi, who has hinted at coming after the role in the past. It could happen as soon as tonight as the group is set to have a big match against Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens at Money in the Bank tomorrow night.
#5. Trish Stratus makes an appearance, gets interrupted by Tiffany Stratton
Trish Stratus will be a part of the Money in the Bank Kickoff event this year. The WWE Hall of Famer may also appear on SmackDown tonight, as the show will take place in her hometown of Toronto.
She could have a segment with Tiffany Stratton and put her over. Other Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match participants could also get involved, which may lead to a brawl between them.
#4. & #3. DIY wins the WWE Tag Team titles, Grayson Waller betrays Austin Theory
A-Town Down Under won the WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania XL and have only defended the titles once in their three-month reign. The duo will likely drop the titles to DIY tonight on SmackDown.
Tensions have been rising between Austin Theory and Grayson Waller for weeks. Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano have exploited the situation and will continue to do so to try and win the titles tonight.
There is a possibility that Waller attacks Theory after the potential title loss to officially end his partnership with the former United States Champion. Fans have been speculating a Theory babyface run for a while, and it could finally begin tonight on SmackDown.
#2. Logan Paul injures LA Knight
LA Knight and Logan Paul have been feuding for weeks as The Megastar has his sights set on the United States Championship. The Maverick suffered a big setback last week on SmackDown as he got pinned by Knight in the Triple-Threat Money in the Bank qualifier.
The United States Champion may want to avenge last week's loss to Knight, so he could blindside him on SmackDown. He could injure Knight to the point that he cannot compete in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder match tomorrow night.
WWE could set up Paul vs Knight for SummerSlam this way and add some excitement to Money in the Bank by having a surprise entrant replace The Megastar in Toronto.
#1. Jimmy Uso returns to WWE SmackDown
Jimmy Uso suffered a loss against Jey Uso at WrestleMania XL, which is why he was punished by Solo Sikoa. The acting Tribal Chief teamed up with Tama Tonga to brutalise his brother before kicking him out of The Bloodline.
After what Sikoa and his men did to Paul Heyman last week, Jimmy could return on SmackDown tonight to confront them. He may feud with them until the return of Roman Reigns.
With the addition of Jacob Fatu to the group, The Bloodline have once again outnumbered Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. WWE could shock everyone by having Jimmy turn face tonight to join forces with them against his family.
Jimmy could even join Rhodes, Orton and Owens in a potential Eight-Man Tag Team match against The Bloodline at Money in the Bank.
