Triple H has had some great success in the Elimination Chamber over the years. Although he lost the World Heavyweight Championship in the inaugural Chamber bout at the Survivor Series in 2002 to Shawn Michaels, he won subsequent Chamber battles in 2003, 2005 and 2008.
He won another in February 2009 to win the WWE Championship.
Defending champion Edge was pinned by Jeff Hardy just a few minutes into the match ensuring that a new champion would be crowned. "The Game" last pinned The Undertaker to win the WWE Championship for a record-setting eighth time.
It was a significant victory, that surprisingly was not exaggerated or even alluded to on WWE television.
Despite the fact that his reign was not as celebrated as it could have been, Triple H would successfully defend the belt versus Randy Orton at WrestleMania the following month battle before dropping it to Orton at Backlash in a specially stipulaSix-Man Man Tag Team Match.
RKO punted Triple H in the head and pinned him to end "The Cerebral Assassin's" final World title run in seven years.
