Roman Reigns last held a title in January this year before losing it to Chris Jericho. He is one of the premier superstars in the company, and his absence from the title picture for a long duration is not the best decision by WWE.

Fans are annoyed by the superhuman booking given to "the Big Dog" ever since the Shield broke up. So, having Reigns in a secondary title feud with a brilliant superstar in the form of Miz will help him and the IC title as a whole. Reigns could use an IC title reign to try and establish himself over with the fans.

Reigns has a knack of giving quality matches, and he could elevate the IC championship to a higher status.
