However, there is an opportunity that presents itself now that The Miz is the WWE Champion. Because Drew McIntyre has been WWE Champion forever, a whole bunch of babyfaces who should have gotten shots at the title did not really get shots.
Maybe someone like Ricochet could mix it up with The Miz at Fastlane. And in such a clash, the audience may actually believe that The One and Only has a realistic chance of defeating The A-Lister because well, the current WWE Champion doesn't win too many matches.
Honestly, a believable program could pit The Miz against Damian Priest, someone that he actually has a bone to pick with. It would be a major step up for the talented young man, who has all the tools to become a breakout star on RAW, even if he comes up short against The Miz.
