#2 2017 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
For the fourth year in a row, the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will take place at WrestleMania. Only four people have announced their entry so far, but this is usually an opportunity for jobbers such as Fandango and Tyler Breeze to get their 5 minutes of WrestleMania TV time.
Mojo Rawley, Apollo Crews, Big Show (2015’s winner) and Curt Hawkins have all announced their entry into this match. What is interesting this year, is it will pit SmackDown Live superstars against Raw superstars. This means that there is the option to capitalise on the bragging rights of winning the match for whichever brand comes out on top.
This match has become what the King of the Ring used to be for Superstars. It immediately puts them on the map. Baron Corbin won last year, and this year he will be competing for the Intercontinental Championship at the event, having had an extremely impressive year on SmackDown Live.
Hopefully, another developing star can pick up the win and jump-start their career with it. Many top Superstars don't currently have a match. It’s likely that the rivalry between Samoa Joe and Sami Zayn could make it into this match and if the Destroyer wins the Battle Royal, it will solidify his status as an unstoppable monster.
That being said, many other choices would also work. There is no doubt, whoever wins it, is going to be a Superstar to watch in 2017.
