It was recently revealed that The Rock will be present on NXT tonight. WWE's third brand will be hosting New Year's Evil, and The Final Boss confirmed on Instagram Live that he will be there. Could he introduce a 25-year-old Anoa'i family member as the newest superstar of the black-and-silver brand?
The 25-year-old Anoa'i member in this scenario is none other than Zilla Fatu. The son of the late great Umaga, Zilla is an ideal superstar to introduce to the NXT locker room. He's young and has boatloads of potential. What's more, The Rock can introduce him in epic fashion tonight.
To paint a picture, The Rock could make his presence felt after the main event of New Year's Evil. Regardless of who comes out on top, be it Eddy Thorpe, Oba Femi, or Trick Williams, The People's Champion can enter the ring and congratulate them. He could then introduce their next or first challenger for the NXT Championship, Zilla Fatu. It could lead to an epic face-off, but that's not all.
If it does prove to be Zilla, he could also confront Booker T. For those unaware, the Anoa'i family member currently works for the Hall of Famer's Reality of Wrestling. The two are set to clash on January 11, and it could be a great way to hype up the match while also introducing NXT's newest member. But at the end of the day, this is nothing more than speculation.
The Rock made headlines last night at RAW's premiere on Netflix
The Rock made his emphatic return last night at RAW's premiere on Netflix. Last seen at WWE Bad Blood, many expected the 52-year-old to come out and make a huge announcement. Hopes were high for him to confirm his in-ring return, but the reality is that he was much more mellow last night.
All he did was come out, hype up the crowd, and acknowledge Cody Rhodes. This threw the WWE Universe for a loop, as it was least expected. However, he came out again a while later and made headlines as he set foot in the ring with Roman Reigns. He was widely rumored to confront his cousin, but he instead placed the Ula Fala around his neck in what was an emotional moment.
All this has many questioning The Brahma Bull's future in WWE. While he will no doubt remain a part of management, one cannot help but wonder what the future holds for his in-ring career. After all, there were rumors that he would be part of WrestleMania 41. But now, everything is up in the air.
