The Rock's WWE return has been heavily speculated within the WWE Universe for a while. In fact, the anticipation rises whenever a premium live event comes around, and Bad Blood is no exception. However, this time there have been hints which scream The Final Boss' return during the event is potentially imminent.
Pat McAfee recently dropped a video on social media from The Pat McAfee show where he told Cody Rhodes that the "big guy" is supposed to return this week. Initially, the Undisputed WWE Champion responded with "is he?" before asking "which one?". While this can be anyone, the popular notion is that the big guy is none other Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson!
Here are five things The Brahma Bull can do upon returning at WWE Bad Blood:
#5. Costs Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes the victory
This is possibly the most obvious outcome of what The People's Champion can do should he return at Bad Blood. The Final Boss left WWE with the promise that he will return for The American Nightmare and the Undisputed WWE Championship. So, there's no better way to stay true to that statement than cost Rhodes a victory while he is tag teaming with The Original Tribal Chief.
Once he costs them the victory, the storyline opens up for Cody Rhodes to go after The Brahma Bull while Roman Reigns focuses on Solo Sikoa and taking down The Bloodline. It could separate Cody Rhodes' and the Undisputed WWE Championship's story from The Bloodline Saga, allowing both more space to grow creatively.
#4. Announces himself as the real 'Tribal Chief'
Roman Reigns and The Rock both went on a hiatus at the same time following WrestleMania XL. This allowed Solo Sikoa to claim leadership of The Bloodline. As self-proclaimed 'Tribal Chief', Sikoa has removed Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman from the faction while adding Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu.
The former Undisputed WWE Champion returned to WWE and announced himself as The Original Tribal Chief, and the only one who matters.
However, The Rock can return at Bad Blood following the tag team match, and announce himself as The Tribal Chief of The Bloodline. The Final Boss could then reveal that he has been working with Solo Sikoa, and been the one who has been pulling the threads from behind the curtain.
#3. The Rock and Roman Reigns reunite against Cody Rhodes
Roman Reigns did not initially want to tag team with The American Nightmare. However, the situation turned sour after The Bloodline assaulted him and The O.T.C. signed the contract. The duo cut a cinematic promo the week after the contract signing where it was established they'd have each other's back. Interestingly, the promo ended with the former Undisputed Champion telling Cody Rhodes "you're in my way... in life".
Keeping this cold revelation in mind, at WWE Bad Blood, Reigns could hit the Spear and Superman Punch on Rhodes after the duo secure the victory. After the ambush, The Rock could come out to the arena.
The two stars could reunite with an embracing hug, and The Final Boss would then reveal himself as the mastermind behind Reigns agreeing to team with Rhodes before betraying him.
#2. Claims The Bloodline's leadership by removing Solo Sikoa
When The Rock returned prior to WrestleMania 40, the initial bout he was supposed to have with Roman Reigns would've been over 'The Head of the Table' moniker.
Currently, Reigns is neither the champion nor the leader of The Bloodline. Upon returning at WWE Bad Blood, The Final Boss could target becoming The Head of the Table instead of focusing on the Undisputed WWE Champion immediately.
The People's Champion could come out to the arena following the match, and brutally assault Solo Sikoa, and maybe even Jacob Fatu. He would then announce that if there is anyone who truly deserves to be 'The Head of the Table', it's him.
He could then remove The Street Champion from the position, and claim leadership of the heel faction while the other Bloodline members respectfully accept the decision.
#1. Sows the seeds for WrestleMania 41
WrestleMania 41 could be The Rock vs. Roman Reigns or The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes, or at least that's the two money matches which have been speculated so far. However, there has been a new speculation about a triple threat match between all three superstars. To do that, the rivalry between them needs to be reignited.
If The Final Boss returns at Bad Blood, he could enter the arena after the match has finished and address Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. He could berate The O.T.C. for teaming up with his former rival and Rock's arch nemesis, while reminding The American Nightmare about his promise to go after the championship.
When he puts both of them on notice, it can sow the seeds for a triple threat at WrestleMania 41, which Rhodes claimed will be bigger than anything anyone anticipated!
