At WWE Bad Blood 2024, Dwayne Johnson, popularly known as The Rock, made his return to the Stamford-based promotion for the first time since RAW after WrestleMania 40. While he did not do much on his return, it seemed like The Rock sent a message to Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Cody Rhodes.
Since this appearance, the WWE Universe, too, has been curious to know when The Final Boss will appear next. While there is no official word from WWE about the same, there is a chance The Rock could replace Tonga Loa to compete in a Survivor Series: WarGames match.
At WWE Crown Jewel, Roman Reigns and The Usos were defeated by the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline 2.0. While the defeat was embarrassing for Reigns and his men, many believe they will have the chance to bounce back as it is rumored that the OG Bloodline will face Bloodline 2.0 at Survivor Series in a WarGames match.
If this match does take place, The Rock could end up replacing Tonga Loa. Even at Crown Jewel, Loa was the Bloodline 2.0 member who was kept on the sidelines. Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu were chosen to fight alongside Solo Sikoa at the PLE in Saudi Arabia.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
Hence, it won't be surprising to see Sikoa sideline Tonga for The Rock at Survivor Series: WarGames, because the former NXT North American Champion could use someone like The Final Boss in such a high-stakes match. It will be interesting to see if something along these lines takes place at the PLE.
Wrestling legend predicts WWE might have a special role for The Rock at Survivor Series
The interesting part about The Bloodline storyline is that it has an infinite number of possibilities. Recently, a wrestling legend spoke about one such possibility that could take place at Survivor Series: WarGames, and it could feature The Rock and Cody Rhodes.
The wrestling legend who spoke about this possibility is Vince Russo. During an episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo predicted that a potential match between the OG Bloodline and Bloodline 2.0 at Survivor Series: WarGames could be a 5v5 affair.
Russo said:
"Are we saying that The Rock is the fifth guy on the other side? From what I understand, it looks like it's gonna be Jey, Jimmy, Roman, Cody and Sami. So they need one on the other side. And who possibly is gonna be more popular than The Rock to be the fifth guy?" [From 13:00 onwards]
Based on these scenarios, it seems if WWE books another match between the two factions at Survivor Series, then the PLE will be a must-watch event. It will also be interesting to see if Reigns and his men will be able to avenge their defeat at Crown Jewel if they get a rematch.
