The Rock took six months off before returning to WWE in the final moments of Bad Blood, targeting both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. The Final Boss has already revealed that he will be back in 2025, but it is unclear if he will return before the end of 2024.
The WWE legend returned as a heel, and he is expected to go after both the Undisputed WWE Champion and the Original Tribal Chief. The question remains, though, on how he will return to RAW and SmackDown to build up his next match. We take a look at three ways this can happen.
#3. Being Roman Reigns' mystery partner at Survivor Series: WarGames
Meet John Cena's dad HERE
Roman Reigns is preparing for a collision with Solo Sikoa at Survivor Series: WarGames on November 30. Team Roman vs Team Solo appears to be the most likely scenario going forward, but Reigns will need help to defeat The Bloodline 2.0.
This help could come from The Rock, who could be revealed as the fifth member of Team Roman at Survivor Series. That way, The Final Boss could pave the way for his feud with Roman, as he could help him win at Survivor Series and assault him after the match.
#2. The Rock might return with Paul Heyman to take over The Bloodline 2.0
Paul Heyman has been out since late June following an assault from Solo Sikoa and Bloodline 2.0 He has been asked numerous times on when he will be back, but made it clear that he will return only when he will have something significant to offer to The Bloodline storyline.
Thus, the 59-year-old could come back alongside The Rock to lead The Bloodline 2.0. That way, he would kick Solo Sikoa out of the faction, getting revenge on him, and he would add a new angle to the storyline as he would turn on Roman Reigns.
With Paul Heyman as his Wiseman, The Rock would confront the Original Tribal Chief, opening the way for a match at a major PLE in 2025, like WrestleMania 41 or SummerSlam.
#1. Entering the 2025 Royal Rumble Match
The Royal Rumble is a premium live event where former champions and WWE legends usually return after a long hiatus. After several months off, The Rock could return at the Royal Rumble Match either at some point in the match or as the 30th entrant and win it, securing a title shot at WrestleMania 41.
If this is the plan for The Final Boss at the Rumble, he could then go on to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41.
Rock has clarified that he will go after the American Nightmare, and The Grandest Stage of Them All appears like the perfect spot for this match. As we get closer to Survivor Series next month, an update on The Rock's return should be given, and we should consider it a no-brainer that The Final Boss will appear in a WWE ring soon.
