The Rock may return to WWE soon and might ally with a top superstar of the company. This mystery star being speculated is Drew McIntyre. One could wonder why would The Final Boss ally with The Scottish Warrior. It seems subtle hints have been planted for quite some time now.
One such hint of a possible alliance was given by McIntyre himself on WWE RAW this week. During the opening segment of the red brand show, the former World Heavyweight Champion talked about why he took a sabbatical after the Hell in a Cell match, which was due to a close family person's demise.
He then talked about how nobody checked up on him and said that only one person did. Although McIntyre did not name him, that person could be The Rock.
"Over these past two months, guess how many peopple phoned me to check not how I was doing mentally, but physically after that violence at Hell in a Cell - One person," McIntyre said.

The Rock could be that mystery superstar because The Brahma Bull was the person who presented McIntyre with a gift when The Scottish Warrior had signed a new deal with WWE before WrestleMania 40. He might be a well-wisher of McIntyre and could have been the only one who cared enough to check on him after his loss at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event against CM Punk.
McIntyre, however, didn't reveal much about that mystery superstar and went on to call out Roman Reigns and CM Punk. He called the two the 'real villains' in WWE. He further ranted about Sami Zayn and Jey Uso over how they sold their souls and aligned with Roman Reigns even after he had betrayed them earlier.
He was interrupted by Sami Zayn later whom McIntyre snubbed saying that he should leave the arena with his family, as he was the least of his worries among all the Bloodline members. Later, in the main event of the show, McIntyre defeated Sami Zayn for a second time in a row after Saturday Night's Main Event.
The Rock may return to WWE on Monday Night RAW's debut episode on Netflix
The Final Boss may show up at RAW's premier episode on Netflix on January 6, 2024. He returned at Bad Blood PLE during the closing moments of the show. Although he didn't utter a word, he seemed incensed with Roman Reigns, who had allied with Cody Rhodes for a tag team match against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
The Great One might also influence the outcome of the Tribal Combat match between Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns. He may help Solo win the match and retain the Ula Fala. This might also serve to ignite The Rock's feud with Roman Reigns and the two might face each other at WrestleMania 41. It remains to be seen if the eight-time WWE Champion returns to the squared circle next year.
