It's well known that Roman Reigns vs. The Rock was supposed to happen at WrestleMania 39, but WWE couldn't find the right angle for it. The Brahma Bull then returned prior to WrestleMania 40 and teased a match against The Tribal Chief, but that too was canceled due to the fans wanting Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes instead.
Now, to finally finish the story of who truly is 'The Head of the Table', the WWE Universe hopes to see The Tribal Chief vs. The Final Boss at WrestleMania 41.
In a recent update about The Rock, it's been reported that he suffered an elbow injury while shooting 'The Smashing Machine', and possibly endured soft tissue damage. If it's a serious injury, The Brahma Bull will take the time required to heal before stepping back in the ring, and that may delay his return.
Before leaving WWE TV following WrestleMania XL, Rock had warned Cody Rhodes that he would be back for the Undisputed WWE Championship. If Rock's return is delayed, WWE may book Rhodes vs. Rock for WrestleMania 41 over a clash between the two family members. The feud for Rhodes vs. Rock is already written, and they will just pick up where they left off. On the other hand, Reigns vs. Rock will need a build-up and therefore time.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
Furthermore, Rock's and Reigns' story will not just be about each other, but the other Bloodline members as well. Ideally, WWE will build a heels vs. babyfaces story for The Bloodline, and a delayed return might not give the company enough time for a proper build-up.
Former WWE Champion shared his discontent over Roman Reigns' booking
Roman Reigns works a part-time schedule but has quite a significant amount of screen time whenever he does appear. There have been shows when Reigns' segments ran overtime which resulted in other superstars having their segments or matches cut short.
Former champion Sheamus voiced his displeasure over the same while speaking to The Daily Mail.
''Obviously, there's the luxury of getting all the storyline time and everything. I feel like Roman Reigns has made the most of the opportunity he’s had, but I feel like there’s guys on the roster begging for that amount of time to tell their own stories, and that’s one of the only things that’s going. The rest of the roster needs story time too."
The Tribal Chief has wrapped up shooting for 'Good Fortune', and fans hoped he would return before SummerSlam 2024. However, WWE removed him from promotional materials for the go-home episode of WWE SmackDown of SummerSlam 2024.
