After Royal Rumble went off the air, The Rock cut a promo about his WWE Championship match win. He said, “The camera guy is telling me to position me to get the WrestleMania sign in for the shot. Excuse me, but I’m talking to Phoenix.” On hearing this, the live crowd went ballistic.
The Rock continued, “After 10 years I came back to do something special. I thank all the superstars because it takes one hell of an effort to put on a night like tonight. I thank my family from the bottom of my heart. It is very real to me. I thank all of you.”
He concluded by saying, “It feels good to do this again and be WWE Champion. If you smell….. what the Rock is cooking.”
