TLC ended the year on one hell of a big note. We saw lots of spots, lots of drama, lots of great matches, and most importantly, lots of destroyed props. Time to give out our last Staty Awards of the year.
Best Match Award
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
The Best Match Award goes to the best match that took place at TLC 2012.
Winner: Team Hell No & Ryback vs. The Shield
What a match! The Shield made one hell of a debut at TLC in their destructive match against Ryback, Kane, and Daniel Bryan. Pretty much everything ended up broken, and Seth Rollins’ huge fall from the ladder through four tables was the highlight of the night. Definitely one of the top five matches of the year.
Best Feud Award
The Best Feud Award goes to the individuals who participated in the best rivalry that culminated or progressed at TLC 2012.
Winner: Team Hell No & Ryback vs. The Shield
When the Shield debuted at Survivor Series, the IWC pretty much exploded. The much anticipated debut of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose had finally come to fruition, and a lot was expected. Roman Reigns, however, was a wildcard guy. No one had really heard about him, and his in-ring skill was yet to be seen. Reigns ended up being a nice surprise, filling in the powerhouse role very well. The Shield began to attack everybody for their “injustices”, and although it may not have been as exciting as the Nexus attacks, it was still intriguing.
Best Diva Award
The Best Diva Award goes to the Diva who excelled the most at TLC 2012 and the events leading up to it.
Winner: Eve
Eve is the Divas champion. The Divas Division is terrible, so that is basically the only requirement.
Biggest Loser Award
The Biggest Loser award goes to the individual who has failed the most at TLC 2012 and the events leading up to it.
Winner (or loser): The Primetime Players
Remember when PTP was primed to win the Tag Team Championship? Me neither. PTP went from promising up-and-comers to glorified enhancement talents, and to top it all off, WWE has replaced their awesome music with some generic crap. Sorry, PTP, maybe next year.
Best Superstar
The Best Superstar award goes to the individual who has excelled the most at TLC 2012 and the events leading up to it.
Winner: Sheamus
I am in no way a fan of Sheamus. He is stale, boring, and has a pretty terrible babyface character. But the man is a workhorse, competing on every freaking show possible. Congrats Sheamus for being our final Best Superstar.
