The Undertaker's last appearance on WWE programming came at WrestleMania 40, where he helped Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship. However, The Deadman's last match in the Stamford-based promotion took place at WrestleMania 36, where he defeated AJ Styles.

While 'Taker has not competed in a match since then, many wish to see him mix it up with some of the best superstars today. One such superstar is the current World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. While there are no official reports of The Undertaker coming back to face The Ring General, the former made an interesting comment.

During an episode of his popular podcast, Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway, the legendary wrestler spoke highly of Gunther. He even detailed an interaction he had with the World Heavyweight Champion. The Deadman stated that he would have made a lot of money with Gunther if he was still wrestling.

It's unlikely that 'Taker will come out of retirement to face Gunther. However, if he does, then the Austrian would most likely be the best match-up. If not a match, it will be interesting to see the Hall of Famer share a segment with The Ring General on WWE programming, as Goldberg did at Bad Blood 2024.

The Undertaker wants WWE to bring back a major superstar for a feud against Gunther

Since beating Damian Priest to win the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, Gunther has had a phenomenal reign as champion. Until now, no one has been able to threaten The Ring General's reign, and it seems like he will be holding on to the title for a long time.

However, during the Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway podcast, The Undertaker said he wanted to see WWE bring back a major superstar for a potential match against Gunther. The major superstar in question is former UFC Heavyweight Champion and multi-time World Champion in WWE, Brock Lesnar. The Undertaker said:

"Oh absolutely, it would be [a throwback match]," The Undertaker said about Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar. "Brock don't give a sh** he don't care. You just have to realize everything that you give, you're going to receive. Braun Strowman found that out."

Realistically speaking, bringing Lesnar back at this point would also make sense because, on RAW's recent episode, Gunther defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn. This means Gunther does not have an opponent as of now, and Lesnar could pose the perfect challenge.
