#3 The Usos vs. The New Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships (WWE Summerslam 2017 Kickoff)
The aforementioned rivalry between The Usos and The New Day took its first big turn at WWE Battleground 2017 when Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods defeated Jimmy and Jey to win the SmackDown Tag Team Titles for the first time. This was just the starting point of a series of matches that took the WWE Universe by storm.
The rematch took place at the Summerslam 2017 Kickoff Show with The Usos looking to take back their gold. This time, Big E teamed with Xavier Woods to meet the brothers, which created a different vibe. This contest went longer than their first meeting that year and started out slow. However, the action picked up and there was strong pacing.
The New Day busted out new moves with Xavier lifting the larger E to slam him on top of Jey for a nearfall. They also hit a cool backbreaker-STO combo for the first time. Xavier Woods continued to step up throughout this feud with him kicking out of the Uso Splash, but The Usos would not be denied on this night.
Jimmy and Jey hit a multitude of superkicks to overwhelm their opponents and finally hit a double Uso Splash to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships for the second time. This was a great match with a superb finish and remains arguably the best kickoff match in WWE history. The Usos walked out with the gold at Summerslam 2017, but the feud was far from over.
