The Usos won their first WWE Tag Team Championships in 2014 and went on to have a signature year, establishing them as one of the best tag teams in the world. Jimmy and Jey first hit their stride in an insane series of matches with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan of The Wyatt Family.

The Usos defeated The Wyatt Family at Money In The Bank 2014 in a really good opener that excited the WWE Universe. However, the feud continued on to the following month at Battleground 2014. This time, the four men wanted to prove which tag team was better in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match.

The Boston crowd was fully engaged in this opener, with action starting off fast and only building from there. The first two falls were almost instant, but this set the stage for a highly entertaining final fall. The two teams traded huge moves in an attempt to walk out with the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Luke Harper was an absolute world beater in this one, hitting powerbombs and suplexes as well as matching The Usos' high flying with suicide dives that took out Jimmy and Jey. Eventually, the brothers incapitated Harper long enough to double team Erick Rowan in the ring. They hit a double superplex and followed with the Uso Splash to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships.

This was a fantastic opening encounter and a bonafide Match of the Year candidate for the company. The Usos had the best match of their first tag title run, while The Wyatt Family should have really earned a run of their own at the time based on their performances. Luke Harper proved why he should have gotten more of a push with his effort here alone.
